We celebrated our talent at the Celebrating Diversity Art Show on Thursday. It was a wonderful opportunity for our artists at Big Shanty to display our work and to see all the amazing talent in our county. The art show was a combination of Elementary, Middle, and High School work. The artwork will be on display until January 22. So, if you didn't have the opportunity to make it for the opening, don't worry! Please take the time to go see all the beautiful artwork.
Several students from each grade level have artwork on display at the Celebrating Diversity Art Exhibit. These students should have received an invitation in their Thursday folders. Please come to the show to see the talented work of our Big Shanty art students as well as talented art students throughout Cobb County.
Included in the Talent Show is a visual arts exhibit. Your art should convey the theme, “The Great Outdoors”. Do you picture a peaceful view of the Appalachian Mountains or an eagle soaring through the sky? Your art may be realistic or fantasy. Use your imagination OR use reference materials that you have used at school (books, internet, etc.). You can be as creative as you would like! All entries that meet the criteria will be hung up in the halls of Big Shanty the same week as the Talent Show for all to see!
